WINE REGION
Fraser Valley
Country Canada

Fraser Valley is a small viticultural area in British Colombia wine region of Canada located 110 km east from Vancouver following the path of the Fraiser River and renowned for its refined white and sparkling wines. The Fraser Valley is one of the most fertile lands in the country not only for famous for wines but as well for other agriculture with its moderately cool climate it has a low risk of frost and winter damage together with the extremely rich alluvial soils make this place a heaven for any plant. Although sometimes given that the region is in the coastal area, humidity is a concern due to powdery mildew and Botrytis. The principal grape varieties of the Fraser Valley are Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. The region is an upcoming gem in Canada's wine-growing scene.
